Michael Jackson Vitiligo

While many wondered about Michael Jackson's complexion, few knew what was going on behind the scenes. Michael actually was suffering from skin cancer. His many surgeries even affected his comeback tours.

Michael also suffered from a skin condition called vitiligo. Vitiligo affects the skin pigmentation. This changing of the skin pigmentation brought about many jokes and remarks. Claims about publicity stunts were numerous. Some even joked Michael was turning into one of his 'Thriller' creations.

The stress of having found out about the cancer and dealing his megastardom produced  a constant effect in his life that Michael dealt with the best way he could.

Regardless, a star such as Michael having these problems makes us realize how precious life is and brings awareness to these maladies so we can better deal with them in the future.
